Under the title “From hype to hope: Facilitating prospective imagination through algorithmic confrontation” Claudine Bonneau and Viviane Sergi presented results related to the project.
Workaround project – presentation at the Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management – July 2025
Under the title “AI-driven Sentiment Analysis Technologies at Work: Theorising Algorithmic Emotional Labour” Claudine Bonneau, Viviane Sergi and Jeremy Aroles presented a paper related to the project in the Communication, Digital Technology, and Organization (CTO) division.

Under the title “Scripting managers’ roles: The game of expectations of emotion AI”, Claudine Bonneau, Viviane Sergi and Jeremy Aroles presented results of the project in the sub-theme: 73: AI Power, Organization & Subjectivity: How Does AI Affect Our Subjectivities and Identities?
Methodology workshop – patent co-analysis – April 2025
In this workshop, led by project team members, participants will collaborate to analyze patents that describe technologies for analyzing emotions in employees’ verbal and textual communications.

Under the title “Algorithmic emotional labour: Exploring the interpretations and communicative practices of knowledge workers dealing with sentiment-analysis technologies”, Claudine Bonneau, Viviane Sergi and Jeremy Aroles presented preliminary results of the project in the sub-theme: Sub-theme 23: “Bringing (Knowledge) Work Back in”: Exploring the Impacts and Implications of Artificial Intelligence on Knowledge Work
